Who is Plastic man of India?

Plastic is inevitable in our life and waste plastic is enemy for nature. Recycling, Reuse and Reduce is the only mantra (solution) to control the damage from plastic.

Dr.Rajagopalan Vasudevan, a retired Chemistry Professor from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai of Tamilnadu has invented simple but effective technology to reuse waste plastic in road construction.  It will increase the durability of the road and reduce the maintenance cost. He received the patent for this technology.

Technology

Dr.Rajagopalan Vasudevan invented the idea of mixing waste plastic it with bitumen and using the polymerized mix in road construction. This method will help in making roads much faster and also will save environment from dangerous plastic waste. In india more than 5000 Km roads in 11 States laid with waste plastic as one ingredient.

Government of India honored him by giving the Padma Shri award , fourth highest civilian honour in India.
