South Asian University (SAU)- India’s International University @ New Delhi

Many of the Indian Students are migrating to other countries universities for the higher education especially in the field of Applied Sciences and Social Sciences to get the international exposure of teaching and research. Now the Indian Government with the co-operation of the members of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) has established the world class university focussed on the Applied Sciences and Social Sciences.

South Asian University (SAU) is an international university established by the governments of the eight member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) viz., Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The University has its own beautiful 100 acres campus at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.

South Asian University is a research-focused university currently offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Research Programmes in Applied Sciences and Social Sciences under five Faculties which are listed below:

Details of Courses and the admission details are as follows.

SAU ENTRANCE TEST

SAU inducts its cohorts every year through a SAARC-wide entrance test. The admission notification released around February on the university’s website and leading newspapers in all the SAARC countries.

• The duration of the Entrance Test will be 2 hours.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The question paper will consist of 70/100 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each.
• All questions are compulsory.
• Syllabus for B.Tech/Dual Degree (B.Tech-M.Tech) course: The questions will be asked at 10+2 level from Mathematics, Physics and Chemsitry
• Syllabus for PG courses: The questions will be asked at undergraduate level for all M.A/M.Sc/M.Tech/LLM in the respective subject.
